"I met Mark during my first exchange program experience at Stafford House London in 2017. I had always been thinking about when I would finally start studying English in a dedicated and tailored way to meet my goals, because conventional courses never allowed me to maintain continuity, often due to a lack of connection with the teaching methods, for example.

Then, in 2020, I fully committed to unlocking my English skills and didn’t think twice: I decided to take private lessons with Mark! Two years later, I was back in London, taking an official placement test at one of the exchange schools, and I was classified at the pre-advanced level.

Today, I handle English really well in various situations! I can understand spoken and written English, and I can communicate effectively. In addition, I watch movies, videos, everything in English.

My next step is to advance in professional English, focusing on specific terms and skills related to my professional field—and Mark will be part of this journey with me! Thank you, teacher!"

"Mark is an amazing teacher. He teaches in a way that adapts to your needs and makes it easier for you to absorb the language. If I can work using English today, he is one of the main reasons. Besides, he is an amazing person and a totally reliable professional. You won't regret being his student and will probably gain a great friend.

In addition, Mark was responsible for one of my best experiences in London. When I was his student at Stafford House London, he created a fascinating cultural immersion by teaching us about The Phantom of the Opera during his classes, and later organizing a trip for us, students, to see this amazing play at the theatre.

All of this made me want to continue studying with him, even after I returned to Brazil."

"I can't thank Teacher Mark enough! His teaching style is impeccable, his professionalism is unmatched, and his dynamic classes, combined with his attention to every detail, truly helped me elevate my English. This boost in my language skills was a game-changer, allowing me to take on a leadership position at Ford Motor Company South America. It also opened doors to incredible opportunities like international travel, further studies, and even leisure abroad. I had the chance to participate in the Six Sigma Master Black Belt training program, visit Ford suppliers in the U.S., tour the iconic Mustang factory, and even take my family to Disney World in Orlando!
Today, as a Senior Manager of Safety, Environment, Quality, and Lean Manufacturing for a global company headquartered in Germany, I still use English almost daily. Whether it's attending meetings, having dinner with clients, or connecting with international colleagues, English is crucial to my work.
So, a huge thank you to the incredible Teacher Mark for guiding me on this journey to English fluency."

"Mark has definitely been my great English teacher. He was a turning point for me!

I started studying English when I was 12 years old, went through a few schools, but like many people I reached a point where I wasn’t making any more progress in traditional schools, and for years I stopped studying it.

Between the ages of 24 and 26 years, my husband and I had Mark as our private teacher and that’s who truly helped our English improve. During that time, Mark suggested we did an English exchange programme in London, a city he knew very well, and after 3 years being his students, there we went!

We studied at London Study Centre for a month. We had classes all week in the mornings, and among my four teachers, Mark was there once again assisting me closely in London!

Today my husband and I have been living in London for almost 10 years, and without a doubt I recommend Mark to everyone, whether to start as a beginner or to truly improve their English!"

"When you start any learning process, you want to make sure you've got the right foundation. We look for the best possible education within our means and start our journey with curiosity and hope for the future. However, there is something that is rarely mentioned when you look for an education. That something is the learning relationship you build with your tutor.

We all have that teacher that we will always remember for inspiring us, for planting a seed of continuous desire for knowledge in a way that we find engaging and attainable, that teacher that makes us see the branches that can grow from that first decision to embrace something new.

Marcos was that English teacher for me. I was only 19 when I started my English journey. Now, at 51, I am a psychodynamic therapist seeing clients all over the world, mostly in English.

Speaking English opened every single door that directed me towards growth and betterment, professional and personal.

I went on to live in Australia for 22 years, becoming a citizen of that wonderful Country. That’s where I got my formal academic education, solidified my professional life and got to the point of doing what I love.

The ability to speak English also gave me a wonderful family in Australia.

All that because once I met a young teacher that, seeing the curiosity and thirst for learning of the young girl I once was, encouraged me, helped me, opened a whole world of music, lyrics and the desire to interact worldwide. Marcos loved to talk to us about his penpals overseas (yes, it’s been that long!) . I remember thinking “I can’t wait to be able to communicate with people that speak native English”. He gave me something to aspire to.

The place you choose to learn is important, the method is important, but the most important factor in your learning will be an inspiring teacher.

That one seed sprouts for life.

Thank you, Marcos."
